The night is still young and full of promises. Its 11.42 pm.
Awakened by the irritating alarm sound of my mobile phone, I jumped out of the bed, heading to firds room. My tummy rumbled like hell. Dear, I havent had dinner!
Itd been a tiring day, I can say that. I woke up at 6 this morning to find my ENT notes scattered around the room hahaha. Thats me when the exam is just around the corner. It took practically half an hour to get it rearranged.
I had this uneasy feeling all the way to the hospital. Well, evaluation day! Well, the doc informed us last week that he will evaluate the students; each of us will be given certain alaamat or marks (10 out of 100 of the ENT cumulative marks boley?). Well be discussing some emergency airway procedures (tracheostomy, foreign body aspiration bla bla bla ). Well to tell the truth, Ive flipped thru the notes given but duh.. I hate these stuffs boley? The other seminar (Epistaxis) added insult to the injury. He digs the information tunnel deeply. Very deep indeed. Superficial info is enough ok. We arent ENT consultants!
Nevertheless ENT is appealing when u sit down in the clinic, observing the common cases (Otitis Media, Externa, Tonsillitis, Tinnitus and Vertigo). The only drawback is that they communicate in Arabic and of course there are some cloudy words and phrases. Heheh. More importantly, I can say that ENT is far way better than the medical department-slow-killing-method neurology counting in the never-ending rounds and seminars! And yeah the results were posted on the board!
I went home after the strenuous seminar and discussion. The first thing I did when I got home was throwing my body onto the bed of mine, which was the best thing ever happened to me today. I woke up from my sleep during maghrib to perform solah, tried staying awake but my reticular formation somewhere in my brain did a not-so-good job and I continued sleeping for like another 5 hours and here I am now! Hahah.
I have to pen off. My clinical ENT exam will take place on Thursday (seb baik bukan besok ok). Ive got to bury my nose under piles of books and tonnes of notes...nerd? ahahah God knows best.
