A special report : Solar Eclipse I was enjoying my early break from the hospital rounds today, and was sitting as usual in front of my PC, when the surroundings happened to be dark and shadowy. It was ten to 1 pm. Out of curiosity, I got up, and observed the skies outside. I had the fact in my mind that the cumulonimbus clouds were approaching nearer, carrying rains along. I was a bit inquisitive when I saw Daus and Fadil were looking at the sky, holding a digicam in his hand. I was told then that they were enjoying this rare phenomenon, the solar eclipse. And this uncommon occurrence should be digitally treasured; hence I took my own digicam out of the drawer, ran outside and waited unwearyingly for like 10 mins to have a perfect view and sight. For your information, an eclipse occurs at those times when the Moon moves into a position of direct alignment with the Sun and the Earth. And I've just witnessed a partial solar eclipse, not a total one. During a partial solar eclipse, only the penumbra touches our planet. The umbra passes either just above the North Pole or just below the South Pole, completely missing the Earth. Thanks to Allah for the sun, the moon and the skies..
