That's what Faiz thinks of his recently reinstated blog. At the age of 23, he believes that writing is the most efficient way to express the feelings crammed inside one's heart. Being a final year medical student himself, he can never deny the frenzied life he's currently living on but life goes on and that's it. Happy Merdeka Day : EDITED
It's never too late to wish happy merdeka to dear Malaysians; after all, it's the merdeka spirit that counts. But a lot of Malaysians nowadays just don't have the merdeka spirit instilled in their inner heart. This is just like having a bouquet of water lily in your hand, lacking of the sweet smell although it looked nice.
What baez is saying is that the teenagers just love the merdeka celebration, which is a good thing (at least it looked good) but actually, they just love the countdown thingy, the hanging-out-together party, the merdeka concerts etc. As soon as the sun rises up, one can go and witness a massive amount of trash ie cans, cigarettes butts, cans, bottles wrappers etc scattered everywhere on the ground. Is this what we call a merdeka day celebration after all?
