Hey guys
Salam and greetings

Where do I start? How about a 10-day-no-update compensatory entry?

Time passes by and hey, it's the end of ramadhan already? It flows like very swiftly and I can barely go after it. And tons of incidences did take place and I enjoyed every bit and fragment of my last ramadhan here in Jordan. I truly did.

Let me put em in a chronological order. Let the pictures tell their own stories. And shall we begin?

1) Batch reunion and Ifthar jam'ei

The MSD officers were kind enough to set up an Ifthar Jamei with the 6th-year students (11 ppl) and it took place in the The Great Hall of Andalus ; the food were just superb. As this would be the last breakfasting occasion in these few years time, we spent the time wisely together. As the old saying goes "the more we get together the merrier we'll be"

2) Pizza Italia

We were about to celebrate ijat's bufday at Pizza Hut nearby when I suddenly gasped out very loudly so that it sounded like a hiccup, really. I was in total shock. No way, the pizza hut was under renovation and I cried out piercingly loud thinking about the bias and injustice they had done to ijat. They had just ruined our happy moments. But as quick thinkers, we always had a second and third alternatives huhu. Pizza Italia

3) BBQ-ing

The handsome gentlemen (eww) of the second year batch invited us (the sixth-year students) to come along for a special ifthar jamei treat. BBQing. I just loved BBQing. The chefs had oready marinated the chicken pieces and it was time to start roasting. YooHoo. I was like thinking - were the chicken pieces still alive coz some of them kept rolling onto the black and steaming charcoals. Sigh~ It was fun ekceli bbq-ing together~ At the end, my stomach was like 2X more distended than a normal one. Huhu

4) Paediatric OSCE exam + Kueh Raya Parcel

I did not have a good sleep the night before the OSCE exam. Being the typical Faez, I did not finish studying and that kept my heart palpitating all da nite, and it unsympathetically interfered with my sleep. I woke up red-eyed and rode the big but very slow hijazi bus heading to Paediatric Outpatient Department, King Abdulla University Hospital.

Some infos about the exam. There were 11 stations including 3 rest stations ( I wonder up till now why did they set up like too many rest stations). Were were asked about history, physical exam, investigations, CT and XRays, managements etc and it went OK but I encountered difficulty in recognizing the abnormalities seen in the CT Scan and X rays plus their etiologies as well. The history taking were just as bad as the previus CT slides. Sigh. But hey I can now wave goodbye to Pediatrics. Till we meet again soon. Next : Obstetric and Gynecology.

On the other storyline, Mama had posted one large parcel (thanks and many thanks) and I picked it up later that day. 7 kinds of kuehs were inside and right in this very hour, one large tupperware of tat nanas is almost empty. BTW baking tat nanas is as simple as baking pie and I gave out tat nanas recipe to a dear colleague whose parcel is stranded somewhere between Malaysia and Jordan. Nannes to hear that huhu.

5) PERMAI Grand Ifthar Jamei

I showed up quite late (even with ijat's several pushing tries) and the khatam quran and ceramah ceremony was oreadi on. Huhu. We the late comers stayed outside the hall chattering and babbling together (the solid wall of ego being a senior played a very vital part here). Next, the majlis makan2. Beads of sweats began to profusely build up on my forehead and cheek as the sambal nasik ayam was waaayyyyyy hotttt peri peri. I meant it. Nonetheless it tasted kewl.

6) Hari Raya Greetings

This is a simple banner (unlike the blue-based banner of a very creative fren), yet an adorable one. And this is my hari raya greetings (in Malay) : (tiru gaya nad)

Salam Lebaran dan Selamat Aidilfitri diucapkan buat papa mama kaklong dan adik serta sanak saudara di Malaysia. Tidak ketinggalan buat guru-guru dan rakan taulan yang diingati selalu.

Buat kawan-kawan bloggers, trimas atas sokongan selama ini. Trimas maksimas karena sudi untuk bersama memeriahkan blog di samping menceriakan hidup ini. Buat teman-teman di Irbid dan Ukraine, spesial buat dia yang sungguh karekteristik dengan lesung pipit di pipi pabila tersenyum dan jua insiden anak kembar yang sgt lelucon, jua buat adekku yang maha eksen akhir2 ni tapi tetap manja dan aku pasrah dengan hukum alam, jua buat adekku yang suka tengok majik2 dan jua turut menyimpan pc bawah katil sehari sajor maka motif ok, dan buat my little one yang senantiasa menemani di sisi dan bermesra, buat yang mengetahui my little secret yang bermata citarasa, jua special buat dia yang kasihan tat nanasnya masih tak sampai tp telah kuberi resepi, kawan2 baru pertama kali menyambut puasa di perantauan dan lain lain.

Istimewa buat teman2 sepelusuk buana teruatama kakak angkat ofisial ku yang memahami diri selain daripada sgt comel namun kadangkala lonjong gambarnya, teman sepersekolahan yang akan mengembara 5 minggu di daerah sepi di UK yang terlupa pen tertutup, kakak yang membelanjai ku pizza satu masa dulu yang akan kubelanjainya satu masa nanti, abg angkat yang eksen tak mahu bagi tengok webcam setiap masa, adik yang di SMKA tapi tak mengambil PSI tetapi tetap aku terpana dengan kesikahannya akhir2 ini, buat adik yang berpindah dari gombak ke kuantan moga pasrah, jua buat abg yang da sgt lama tak nampak last di kuiz asasi ketika dia menang dan lain2 lagi.

Buat pembaca2 blog dari UK, Ukraine, France, Korea, Egypt dan Malaysia.

Dan buat pembaca2 blog ku secara senyap (tiru nad lagi), terima kasih kerana sudi membaca. Jemput datang lagi

It was one fine day. The weather was cool and tempting. I woke up upon hearing the hum of melodious chirping of birds by my window side. I opened my eyes bit by bit and smiled from ear to ear. After all I made it to this very day. A day to rejoice, a day to have good times and a day to celebrate. It's Izzat's birthday.

Digging up memories of the past, I could say that I barely knew him. I used to think that he was an introvert as well as one timid and shy guy. I got along with other juniors (as in mesra) in no time but not him (and mando as well). I still bear in mind this very moment when he sat next to me (got connected to the net) and there was like one-hour moment of silence as no one spoke to each other. But time flew. The moon will merrily shine out when the sun sets down. The awkwardness bud finally blossomed up into beautiful flowers of amity and friendship. And as time drifted by, we became like brothers.

If some of his girl fans (he's got a huge fanbase here in Irbid) ask me to do a 10-minute review on the manly qualities that he possesses, I would simply say no because a 10-minute period is utterly impractical to portray the endless superb persona he owns. A sweet person he is. He possesses the triad of courteous, chivalrous and considerate. A good listener tho not a very good conversationalist. Charming in his very own way. Simply put, the fans of him adore him more than anything. (tho he seems to practice the ekseness skill incessantly these days)

Hence, on this very special day, I would like to wish Izzat a very happy birthday. I wish you every day full of sunshine, with lots of love, happiness, success & good health. Your are now one year older but be happy because growing older means that you have more smiles to flash, more lessons to teach, more strengths to share, more experiences to learn from, more love to spread, more warmth to give, more good times to cherish.

Home-made curry puffs

No lecture was on today hence I set off as early as 11 am. Aizat YM-buzzed me for like several times and asked me and some other frens to help him out with the karipap processing this noon. I said ok before drifting off into my dreamless two-hour nap (unlike kakmin's hoho, tho I long for a dream).

Phew, they were done with 1st step, the uli uli tepung when I turned up and it was now the time for giling-ing the tepung down into thin and small circular-shaped pieces. We put the inti kentang in and clipped it up neatly. Nevertheless, we ran out of the kari kentang and one decided to use the kuah kurma instead but some were just too creative. As special treats for the chosen ones, some of karipap pieces were filled with plain uli-ed tepung (2 pieces), peeled off dates (2 pieces), and small-chopped fresh potatoes (1 piece). And some were even more creative. The dough was shaped into exotic looking pieces including a dinosaur-shaped one, a star, a stingray etc. After all, we've got plenty of the uli-ed dough.

Frying came next and this was the trickiest part ever. One had to be very careful with degree of the heat. I practically cried out loud and held my tears back upon seeing the sudden and spontaneous teleng-ness of the dinosaur's neck when it first touched the boiling oil (neurological deficit resulting from the very hot steaming oil I suppose). Even so, the rest of the frying session went on smoothly. Some juniors came and we handed them like a plate of the sweet-smelling fresh-baked curry puffs (by now, it was hard to tell which of the karipap contained the special ingredients).

Yet, breaking the fast with the home-made curry puffs was an exciting moment. It really was. (I was not the chosen ones tho hohoho).
